West Linn To Host Viewings of “Liquid Assets” Documentary

“Liquid Assets: The Story Of Our Water Infrastructure” is a Compelling Documentary About Water Resources in the United States WEST LINN – The City of West Linn will host three viewings of a Penn State Public Broadcasting-produced documentary about water resources and infrastructure in the United States. “Liquid Assets” is a public media and outreach initiative that seeks to inform the nation about the critical role that our water infrastructure plays in protecting public health and promoting economic prosperity. West Linn will show the film three times: Thursday, October 23, 2008, 6:00 p.m. at City Hall Utility Advisory Board members will attend this showing and be available for comment on West Linn’s water system and the master planning process. Wednesday, October 29, 2008, 6:00 p.m. at the West Linn Public Library Teen Advisory Board members will attend this showing and will participate in a discussion about how investment in water infrastructure impacts the environment and future generations. Monday, November 3, 2008, 12:30 p.m. at the Adult Community Center Adult Community Center members and visitors are invited to this viewing. West Linn viewings are open to the public. Immediately after the documentary, Jim Whynot, West Linn’s water supervisor, will be available for a brief discussion about the key topics from the film, and to answer questions about how the documentary’s topics impact the City of West Linn.
