    The West Linn Public Library has selected The Hearts of Horses by Molly Gloss for the 2010 community-wide reading program "West Linn Reads." We have exciting events planned throughout the month of February, including a visit from author Molly Gloss!

    The West Linn Public Library will feature the paintings of the Portland chapter of International Encaustic Artists (IEA) during the month of February. The exhibit will run February 1-26 in the library's Community Room which is open to the public when not in use, and always open on Sundays noon - 5 p.m. An artist’s reception will be held at noon on Sunday, February 21.

    This beginner’s class will show you how to use the mouse and keyboard, open and close programs, save files, and navigate around a computer. You will also learn about organizing, creating, copying, and moving files and folders. The skills taught in this class are required knowledge before taking any of our other computer classes.     February is "Food for Fines Month" at the library! Here's your chance to do two good deeds at once: clear up your overdue fines at the library and help the hungry. For every can of food brought in, the library will forgive 50 cents in overdue fines. Fees for lost or damaged items will not be waived, however.

    Trail Band members Mick Doherty, Gayle Neuman and Phil Neuman will perform a fun and historically informative program of music from the heyday of the Oregon trail up to the early 20th century, singing and playing instruments of the time.

    Need a tax form? The library has federal tax forms and instruction booklets for you to take home. We also have a binder of common IRS forms from which you can make photocopies. You can also access all IRS forms and instruction booklets on the IRS website.
