The library is excited to offer virtual and in-person cooking demonstrations at the library. 

 
Library Chef: We’re excited to bring Library Chef to you—offering cooking and kitchen skills for adults of all levels, along with insights from professional nutritionists and guest chefs from around the world! There are also classes for Teens and Children as well! Enjoy three live classes each month, plus replays available at your convenience—getting started is a breeze!

In this class, we’ll explore the nutritional benefits of apples and how they may support heart health, help maintain healthy blood sugar levels, promote a healthy gut microbiome, and protect our cells from damage. You’ll learn what makes apples a nutrient-rich addition to a balanced diet and how to get the most nutritional value from this everyday fruit.

As part of the class, I’ll demonstrate how to make a delicious no-added-sugar apple chutney and share creative ways to use it as a flavorful condiment with a variety of meals.

In this class, you'll learn about the different types of sweeteners commonly used in holiday baking. Recipe demonstration is Healthy Pumpkin Pie Pudding with Cashew Cream Sauce

The good news is that you can create festive treats that are just as delicious while adding more fiber, nutrients, and wholesome ingredients. This recipe can also be used to make gingerbread houses.
