Library patrons have access to thousands of ebooks and audiobooks through two systems: Library2Go and Cloud Library (formerly 3M Cloud Library). Items from both collections can be found in our catalog or through the specific apps and web sites. It’s all free with your LINCC card! Don't have a card? Fill out an application and stop by the library.

Just like physical library books, each ebook and audiobook only has a certain number of copies available. If all available copies are checked out, you can place a hold on the book and you'll be notified when it's available for checkout.

The initial configuration and steps to download items can be a bit tricky. Don’t hesitate to stop by our Information Desk if you have any trouble.

LINCC libraries teamed up with others in the Oregon Digital Library Consortium to offer access to Library2Go. Titles are available on a variety of devices, including e-ink Kindles. The Overdrive app enables patrons to read or listen to Library2Go items on phones and tablets. You will need to sign up for an account when using the app.

You can borrow up to six titles at a time for up to* 21 days.

Extra copies of select ebooks and audiobooks are available to Clackamas County library card holders, so remember to log in to Library2Go/Overdrive before you start browsing.

Check out these instructions to get going. That page includes guides for specific devices.

We have also posted some tips and additional information for Library2Go here.

*The default loan period for Library2Go is 14 days. You can adjust it to 21 days in your account settings on the Library2Go website.

Cloud Library

Unlike Library2Go, which has titles shared by libraries throughout the state, the collection of ebooks and audiobooks available through the Cloud Library is only accessible to LINCC card holders. This can lead to shorter waiting lists. You can checkout up to six titles at a time for 21 days.

Cloud Library ebooks and audiobooks can be accessed via an app on computers, phones, and tablets, including the Kindle Fire. Unfortunately, titles are not accessible on e-ink Kindles.

To get started with the Cloud Library, check out their support page.
