The City of West Linn is currently in the process of creating an online business license application for new and renewed business licenses. Existing business license holders can expect a mailed solicitation when the online application is ready for use; new business license applicants can call 503-657-0331 for additional information about how to license their business in the interim.
The City of West Linn and Clackamas County have asked the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to look into a West Linn location as a potential site for a large solar highway project. ODOT has requested that West Linn gather public input to help evaluate the potential site. West Linn will be conducting town hall meetings in June on solar highways.

RIVER STREET UPDATE: The scope of work on the River St. slurry sealing has been revised to now apply sealing to the width of the previous overlay; River St. has many varying widths. Over the weekend, a private resident produced a flyer advertising homeowners on River St.

WEST LINN - On Saturday, June 27, 2009, at about 2:00pm the West Linn Police were summoned to an address on Miles Drive in the Rosemont Summit Neighborhood regarding an unresponsive 18 year old male.
WEST LINN - Early Saturday morning, June 28, 2009, Officer Jason Dolan stopped a late model Saturn after seeing it make a series of wide turns, straddle the lane divider, and he was unable to see a registration or license plate as required by law. He stopped the car in the area of 11th Street and Willamette Falls Drive and contacted the two occupants of the vehicle.
WEST LINN – The West Linn Public Library will feature an art exhibit by Jeanne Provensen during the month of July. The exhibit will run June 29 – July 30 in the Library Community Room which is open to the public when not in use, and always open on Sunday from noon – 5:00 p.m. An artist’s reception will be held at the library on Sunday, July 12, 2-4 p.m.
WEST LINN – On Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 12:39pm the West Linn Police received a call regarding two suspicious boys attempting to sell an Air Soft gun to patrons at the Market of Choice at 5639 Hood Street. Dispatchers advised while the officers were enroute they had a real gun for sale inside a back pack. The boys left the area on bicycles before the police arrived.
WEST LINN – Thursday, June 4, 2009 at approximately 8:45pm Darla Kay CURTIS (48) of West Linn was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants after crashing at Willamette Drive and I-205.

On June 22, 2009, the City Council unanimously adopted the 2010-2011 budget as approved by the Citizens Budget Committee. The Citizens Budget Committee held three meetings and unanimously approved the budget as proposed on Thursday, May 7, 2009.
