The intent and purpose of Historic Resources is to celebrate and protect the City’s historic buildings and resources. The City and the County cooperate to provide a review body for alterations, remodels, and construction to designated historic landmarks and properties in the historic district.

Whereas the nation and local region is currently suffering through one of the worst economic periods of our nation's history and the real estate market is suffering, City Council desires to reduce the burden of marketing houses for a temporary period by allowing temporary signs in the right-of-way in residentail zones on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through September 30, 2009.
The Willamette Historic District has been designated as a national historic district by the National Register of Historic Places. It will be listed as the Willamette Falls National Historic District. This is the result of a 2.5 year effort by the City of West Linn, the Historic Resources Advisory Board, the Willamette Neighborhood Assoication, and many dedicated citizens.
Garage sales are allowed in West Linn without City approval, and provided certain requirements are met. These requirements include limitations as to the type of items sold, duration of the sale, and number of sales and signs.
DEFINITION
