MEETING INFORMATION

The Historic Review Board meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm in the Bolton Room at City Hall. HRB meetings are conducted in a hybrid format, with some Members, staff, presenters, and members of the public attending remotely via Webex and others attending in person at City Hall. The public can watch the HRB meetings on YouTube. Go to the agenda to find the meeting link. Those who wish to participate remotely should complete the speaker form https://westlinnoregon.gov/citycouncil/meeting-request-speak-signup before 4:00 pm on the meeting day to receive an invitation to join the meeting. Virtual participants can log in through a computer, mobile device, or telephone.

PROVIDING INPUT TO THE HISTORIC REVIEW BOARD

The HRB values citizen input and welcomes ideas and opinions on maintaining the City's historic resources. Email correspondences to Historic Review Board or the staff liaison. Submit written comments by email to the staff liaison before 4:00 pm on the meeting day.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The HRB is a seven-member, quasi-judicial citizen board responsible for deciding proposed changes to the City's historic resources and land use applications within the Willamette Historic District. The HRB advises the City Council on the preservation and use of historic sites, structures, and districts within the City and is the designated advisory body for the Certified Local Government (CLG) program.

The HRB's powers and duties are granted by charter, City ordinances, state law, and official policies created by the City Council. Members are appointed to four-year terms by the Mayor with consent from the City Council.
