Important Dates and Deadlines

  • Up-to-date information about the primary election can be found on Clackamas County's website: https://www.clackamas.us/elections/may-19-2026-primary-election.  
  • Voters’ pamphlets will be delivered to residences as early as April 22.  Additional voters’ pamphlets can be picked up at city hall and the library. 
  • The voter registration and party choice deadline is April 28 – Clackamas County Elections will have extended office hours until 7:00 pm to provide voter registration services. A registered voter may update their voter registration for the primary election until 8:00 pm on Election Day.
  • Ballots will be sent to all voters on April 29 and should be delivered by May 7. Voters that have not received their ballots by May 7 should contact Clackamas County Elections for a replacement ballot.
  • All official ballot drop sites in Clackamas County will be opened on April 29. Ballots will be picked up, Monday through Friday, beginning on May 1. Ballots will also be picked up from all official ballot drop sites on Saturday, May 16 and multiple times on Election Day.
  • We are recommending voters to return their ballot to an official ballot drop site after Tuesday, May 12. Voters that return their ballots via USPS after May 12 are encouraged to have their postmarks applied in-person at the customer service counter of their local post office.
  • The Saturday before Election Day, May 16, Clackamas County Elections will be open to the public from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
  • Election Day, May 19, Clackamas County Elections will be open to serve the public from 7:00 am – 8:00 pm to provide voter services. 
  • All official ballot drop sites will be secured and closed at 8:00 pm on Election Day – any voter that is in line to return their ballot at a drop site by 8:00 pm will be permitted to do so.
  • Unofficial election results will be released on Election Day at 8:00 pm, 9:30 pm, and 11:00 pm. Results will be certified on June 15.
