  • The City of West Linn was honored in 2005, 2009 and 2011 as one of the 'Best Places to Live' by CNN and Money Magazine. In 2012 West Linn was named a Tree City USA Community for the 19th year. This national honor is awarded by the Arbor Day Foundation to communities that are committed to urban forestry.
  • The West Linn-Wilsonville School District (WLWSD) covers 42 square miles in the south metropolitan area of Portland, Oregon, including the cities of West Linn and Wilsonville, and a rural area of Clackamas County. The district is a K-12 public school system with approximately 8,400 students and is composed of seven primary schools, three middle schools, three high schools and one charter school.
  • Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores in the WLWSD are among the highest in Oregon, and Oregon consistently ranks first or second in SAT scores nationwide for states in which fifty percent or more of the graduating seniors take the test.
