McLean Park and House

Project Type:

This project was the construction of a new large field house-style event shelter to replace the existing seasonal tent.

The Friends of the McLean Park & House dissolution in late 2022 has made this project not financially feasible.  The project was created in anticipation of fundraising from the Friends group which no longer exists.

Work at Mary S. Young Park included  renovation of the original restroom and improvements to  park amenities onsite.

Maddax Woods Park

Project Type:

A new viewing platform and accessible walkway are slated for Maddax Woods Park in order to improve visual access to one of the largest Great Blue Heron rookeries in the Portland Metro area.

Project cost = $ 2,533
Thank you to the West Linn Rotary for their volunteer work on this project.

3/1/2022 - Project completed by West Linn Rotary Club and City staff.
5/11/2021 - West Linn Rotary Club agrees to partner with City to complete the project.

Hammerle Park

Improvements at Hammerle Park included improvements to park safety, new shelter roof, play structure repairs and upgrades, ADA pathways and repairs to unusable aging court system that included conversion of tennis to pickleball to meet demand..

Total Project Cost = $150,052

Court resurfacing & Conversion to 4 pickleball courts - Completed 9/17/2021

ADA Pathway from shelter to Courts & parking lot- Completed 5/25/2021

Benski Park

Project Type:

Improvements to Benski Park include a new irrigation system and an asphalt overlay on the basketball court, ne hoop and install permanent trash receptacles.

Total Project cost = $16,495

Irrigation Project Completed 9/14/2020
Decades old irrigation system replaced to enure safe and healthy turf in the park.

Basketball asphalt court remediation Completed 9/10/2020
Court received asphalt overly for safety and to extend life span of court.

Manners Matter (Ages 5-7 & 8-10)

Learn the importance of being polite in all situations. Set the table, practice proper greetings and handshake. Learn the polite way to enter a conversation and to write thank you notes. Learn the importance of being a polite host/hostess and guest. Practice good manners throughout the week and share about those experiences at class.
