Fine-Free Starting January 2026!

We are thrilled to announce that beginning January 2026, the West Linn Public Library will officially eliminate overdue fines for all library materials checked out at our library.

This means that starting in the new year:

Young Teen: Mario Kart Party

Thursday, August 13

4:30 PM | The Hollow

Start your engines and get ready to race! Join us at the library for a few friendly Mario Kart races on the big screen. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or brand-new to the tracks, everyone is welcome.

Makerspace

The Hive Makerspace Coming September 2026!

 

The Trillium Room is being transformed into the Library's new Makerspace, The Hive. Staff selected this name because the process of 3D printing—building an object layer by layer—echoes the work of bees constructing a hive. The Hive will be a place where patrons can create, learn, and bring ideas to life.

The Makerspace will feature 3D printers, a Glowforge laser cutter, and a Silhouette Cameo vinyl cutter.

Teen Art Meet

For those in grades 8-12 | No reservations required 

Join your fellow artists every third Thursday of the month at our Teen Art Meet!  Get away from it all to paint, draw, sculpt or experiment with new media every month at a laid back, artsy hangout.  You'll enjoy music, novel art supplies and a space to share and exchange with other young artists.  Feel free to bring your own supplies and projects - this studio time is completely self-guided!

Thank you to the 580 community members who responded to our Strategic Plan Survey! Your input will help us prioritize improvements to our collections, programs, services, and spaces.

We will now begin reviewing the feedback and developing our new strategic plan for the years ahead. Updates will be shared as they become available.

 

Kindergarten Carnival 2026

Calling all kindergartners and their families! Join us for Kindergarten Carnival, a fun fest specifically for YOU! This event is held in conjunction with West Linn primary school conference days.

Young Teen D&D - Level 3

Our Party is Full!  Stay tuned for the next adventure coming this winter for new players!

For those entering grades 5 through 8 | In the Hollow

D&D is back at the West Linn Public Library!

We meet up for a session 0 to create characters, learn rules of conduct and get ready to play.  This adventure will be for characters beginning at level 3.  Sessions happen every other week for the duration of the campaign.
