Are you new to Medicare, or do you already have Medicare but have questions about your coverage?  Clackamas County SHIBA (Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance) Counselors are here to to help ! Learn the basics of Medicare, including eligibility, enrollment, and what Parts A, B, C, and D cover and cost. This is great information if you or a loved one is about to transition to Medicare, or if you'd like a refresher. There will also be information about the upcoming Open Enrollment period and time for questions and answers.​ Registration is not required.

In this month's Take & Make kit for adults (age 18+), we are exploring screen bringing.  Each kit contains the supplies needed for this craft, including sample fabric and template. Kits are first-come first-serve starting at 10am on September 12 at the Information Desk, while supplies last. Pokémon Club Trading Card Day | For those in grades 3-12

Bring your collection and meet other Pokémon enthusiasts to trade cards and show off your faves!

Parents are welcome to attend, but trading is for kids.

This is a drop-in event and registration is NOT required. You are free to arrive and leave anytime between 4:00 and 5:00.

Is your little learner interested in the violin? Join Youth Music Project for a FREE demo of their popular Violin Seedlings class for ages 3-5! Instructor Eliza will introduce students to the violin with hands-on activities and songs. Don't miss this fun little-fiddle fest! For ages 3-5. No registration is required. 

About Eliza:

Eliza Jane Schneider started playing violin at age 7 in the preparatory department of Rochester New York’s Eastman School of Music, where she studied under Anastasia Jempelis, a direct student of Dr. Suzuki himself. Her favorite thing about teaching is, "giving a young person the gift of mastery, and showing them the myriad benefits of a lifelong relationship to the art of discipline, resilience, and tenacity required to master an instrument, find their voice, and accomplish the most worthwhile pursuits in life!"

Kits are first-come first-serve starting at 10am on August 19 at the Youth Services Desk, while supplies last. Limit one kit per child.

Give a puzzle, get a new puzzle in exchange at our Jigsaw Puzzle Swap! Gently used puzzles (in their original box) will be accepted at the Circulation Desk for a voucher starting Saturday, August 22 to Friday, August 28 at 6:00 PM.  Please tape all four sides closed. Redeem your voucher on Saturday, August 29 starting at 10:00 am until 10:30. Puzzles will be open to all from 10:30 AM -11:00 AM on only August 29, no vouchers needed. This does not include puzzles from the Book Nook Used Bookstore. All ages are welcome at this event.
