Ways to Help During COVID-19
The City of West Linn would like to thank you for continuing to stay home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Though it might not feel like much, you are keeping your neighbors and loved ones safe by practicing strict social distancing and staying home as much as possible. This is a true community effort, and together we have the power to save lives. Here are a few other ways you can help out during this difficult time:
- Reach out to your friends, families and neighbors in need of assistance, especially those in vulnerable populations, and offer to coordinate online deliveries or drop off groceries or other supplies so they can stay home as much as possible.
- Donate to local organizations. Clackamas County maintains a map of organizations collecting and distributing resources for Covid-19.
- Donate blood to Red Cross.
- Donate time, food or money to West Linn Food Pantry.
- Volunteer with or donate to our local Clackamas County Meals on Wheels, serving West Linn Residents.
- Donate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). TVFR, State of Oregon and Clackamas County provide ways for you to donate PPE.
- Volunteer as a licensed health care professional through SERV-OR.
- The Oregon Office of Emergency Management and the State Emergency Coordination Center have established a web page where Oregonians can submit requests to donate services or supplies, volunteer to support, or to engage in a business relationship with the state. You can find the page here.
- The Rotary Club of West Linn is supporting essential workers in West Linn! During the COVID-19 outbreak we are all so grateful for those who are stocking shelves, preparing meals, pumping gas, and delivering mail & packages. The West Linn Rotary Foundation, a 501c3 charitable organization, would like to show their appreciation by delivering meals or other forms of gratitude to West Linn essential workers. You can help by making a tax-deductible donation to the West Linn Rotary Foundation by clicking here.
