Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Planning
WEST LINN, OR--March 3, 2020--With the first cases of coronavirus in Oregon announced recently by the Oregon Health Authority you may be concerned about the spread of this illness. The City of West Linn works with Clackamas County Public Health and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) to protect the public health during urgent health matters such as concerns over the COVID-19 virus.
The City is doing their part by closely monitoring guidance from public health authorities and taking precautionary steps to ensure community and employee safety are paramount and City business operations are maintained. We ask that anyone exhibiting symptoms like fever, coughing, and respiratory difficulty, stay home and instead let our friendly City staff help you conduct City business via phone or electronically.
How can you stay well?
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with sick people or animals.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw it away. If you don’t have a tissue, cough into your elbow.

- Keep your immune system strong by eating a healthy diet, getting enough sleep and regular exercise, and by taking care of underlying health conditions.
- Stay home if you are sick and call your health care provider before going in to help limit exposure to others.
