Help Neighbors Facing Food Insecurity — Give Help / Get Help
Many families are feeling the effects of reduced SNAP and other federal supports. If you can, please consider donating funds, shelf-stable foods, diapers/formula, and culturally preferred foods—or volunteer your time. If your household needs food, confidential help is available.
Message from the Mayor: Helping Our Neighbors in Need
Hello, West Linn!
Right now, many families in our area are facing food insecurity. With federal SNAP benefits being disrupted during the recent government shutdown and new work rules coming into effect this fall, residents continue to turn to local food pantries for support.
Here in West Linn, the need is clear. The West Linn Food Pantry served a record 2,453 families during 2024, and demand continues to increase. Your City Council continues to monitor these challenges and coordinate closely with the Food Pantry organizers. Last year, we were able to secure significant grant funding for the Pantry which has helped them immensely, but needs continue to grow. We wanted to share ways you can get help if you need it or give help to neighbors through the Pantry.
Need Food Assistance?
The West Linn Food Pantry is located at 1683 Willamette Falls Drive and is open Thursdays from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
To receive assistance, please bring identification with proof of address (such as a driver’s license or mail). Proof of need is not required, and you do not need to bring your own bags or boxes. Learn more at the Pantry's website: westlinnfoodpantry.com
