Help Design the Updated City of West Linn Seal

WEST LINN - As part of their contribution to the 2013 West Linn centennial celebration, the West Linn City Council is seeking design ideas to update the official West Linn City Seal.  Originally developed in 1913 when West Linn was formed as a city, the City Council hopes that redesigning the City Seal in 2013 will commemorate West Linn's history with an lasting image for the next 100 years. The City is running the design submission through 99Designs.com.  The full design brief is available online here: https://99designs.com/illustrations/contests/update-city-west-linn-offic....  Amateur and professional designers are encouraged to submit a design idea through the online contest. "Updating the City Seal is this City Council's lasting contribution to the West Linn centennial celebration," said City Councilor Thomas Frank, who conceived the idea to update the City Seal. The online contest will accept design submissions through Sunday, November 3.  A cash prize of $400 will be awarded to the selected City Seal designer.  All copyrite of the selected Seal will be property of the City of West Linn.  Local artists are especially encouraged to apply.  The City Seal is codified in Municipal Code Chapter 2; is used on commemorative items; and is carved onto the Council dais.
