Biography:
I arrived in the US at age one as an immigrant family that escaped the Holocaust. I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. I have three kids, six grandchildren, and one dog. America has been good to me.
An activist all of my adult life, I have worked for civil rights, marched against the VietNam and Iraq wars. I received a BS at Carnegie Mellon, MS at Syracuse, MBA at U of NC and a Teaching Credential at Cal State. Despite my opposition to war, I served in the US Army, in a missile unit in Korea.
I have worked as a Computer Engineer at IBM, Citrix, Akamai and several Silicon Valley start-ups. I have been a high school, college and grad school educator. I now tutor students in computer science and physics part time.
I enjoy hiking, walking my dog, traveling and reading history and biography. I have served on several boards: Day Care center, Mental Health Associations, HOA and Science Fair Treasurer.
Through the Army, academia and business I have seen many parts of the world and lived in many parts of the US, these experiences and, especially, what I hear from the citizens of West Linn inform my city council role.
