Biography:

I grew up on a farm in rural, unincorporated West Linn.  I earned my BA from Oregon State University after graduating from West Linn High School. Our family now resides in the Willamette Neighborhood where I have served as a Neighborhood Association board member, Main Street volunteer, West Linn Fair Planning Committee member, and can often be seen visiting our wonderful businesses in Historic Downtown Willamette. My involvement on the Sustainability, Transportation, and Parks and Recreation Advisory Boards has helped me learn more about the City process and how community input can help to shape policy. My dedication to our community inspired me to be a part of the City Council. I bring a passion for community resources that provide equitable access to all and a community engagement process where all feel equally heard, respected, and safe.

Working in our public school system, in many roles but especially providing individual support to students impacted with special needs has shown me the important role of our schools to children and their families. Supportive schools, dynamic parks with both athletic facilities and natural open spaces, a wonderful public library, and our small businesses and restaurants are just a few of the aspects that make West Linn a wonderful place to live.  There are also challenges and times of change to address and I hope that all community members understand how much the City Council wishes to hear from each of you and that your perspective is crucial to help shape the West Linn you want live in and leave to future generations.
