Biography: 

Mary has been serving on West Linn City Council since her election in 2020, following her experience volunteering on the West Linn Fair Planning Committee, the Willamette Neighborhood Association Board, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Sustainability Advisory Board, Transportation Advisory Board and as a Willamette Main Street Volunteer, beginning in 2014.  Her current liaison appointments include Willamette Falls Trust Board, Willamette Falls and Landings Heritage Area Coalition, Willamette Falls Locks Authority, South Fork Water Board, Metro Joint Policy Advisory Committee on Transportation, Clackamas Cities Coordinating Committee - Transportation Subcommittee, Waterfront Planning Work Group, Transportation Advisory Board, and Committee for Community Involvement.

A lifelong West Linn resident and graduate of West Linn schools and Oregon State University, Mary worked during her career, providing Special Education student support in the West Linn Wilsonville School District, where her own children attended. She recently completed the Certificate in Tribal Relations from the Institute for Tribal Government at Portland State University to improve her understanding of Tribal communities with traditional and treaty ties to this area. 

Mary’s family lives in the Willamette Neighborhood where she can be found walking, birding or working in her Community Garden plot.
