Collective Bargaining Update from the City of West Linn and Clackamas County Peace Officers' Association

West Linn, OR  -- December 20, 2021

The City of West Linn and the Clackamas County Peace Officers’ Association, which represents members of the West Linn Police Department, met on December 16, 2021. The collective bargaining session was hosted by the City and presented publicly by virtual format. The parties discussed pending proposals on various topics including the disciplinary process, complaints, investigations and related topics. The City discussed its objective to utilize an Oversight Review Group, appointed by City Council, to provide review and recommendations for the complaint and discipline process. The parties discussed updated proposals on other contract articles including proposals on economics.  

Consistent with the ground rules between the parties, the next session is closed to the public and there will not be public access. Bargaining sessions alternate as open and closed sessions.  The next open session is not yet scheduled, but that date will be posted at https://westlinnoregon.gov/humanresources/ccpoa-police-contract-negotiations when known.
