West Linn City Manager Recruitment Process

June 19, 2020

The West Linn City Council is in the final stages of an extensive search for the next City Manager.

City Council received 63 applications and identified 13 applicants to interview. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, virtual interviews were conducted with 10 of the 13 applicants after three withdrew from the process. City Council further refined the candidates down to six applicants to bring back for a second virtual interview.

Out of these six interviews, City Council has narrowed the search down to three finalists:

Jerry Gabrielatos of Albert Lea, Minnesota
Jim Middaugh of Metro
John Williams, West Linn Interim City Manager

City Council previously solicited for interested citizens and staff members to participate in the interview process. These three finalists are set to be virtually reviewed on June 30 by a group of 45 citizens, staff, and trusted advisors appointed by the City Council.
