City Council

The West Linn City Council held a meeting Jan. 12. The agenda included an intergovernmental agreement, citizen advisory group liaison appointments, a public hearing on a rezoning and a resolution creating a citizen advisory board.

Liaisons

As its first order of business, the council made liaison appointments to the citizen advisory groups. Each volunteer advisory group has a council member liaison.

The following appointments were made:

On Friday, January 9, 2015 - the West Linn City Council received the final report from DHM Research on the community survey conducted in November and December 2014.  Review the topline survey data, the final report, and the Council presentation from this web page.

The West Linn City Council awarded amazing volunteer and gardener extraordinaire Lisa Clifton with the 2014 Robert Moore Award.

The award was created by the West Linn City Council in 2013 to recognize individuals who contribute to the quality of life in the community without reward or recognition.

The West Linn City Council met in a special meeting Dec. 15 with the main item of interest being the approval of the Arch Bridge/Bolton Concept Plan.

Willamette Locks

First, the council approved a resolution supporting the reopening of the Willamette Falls Locks. The resolution urges the Army Corps of Engineers to reopen the locks to the general public, commercial, recreational and cultural marine traffic. The 141-year-old locks were deemed unsafe and were closed in 2011.
