Several Roads in West Linn Remain Closed Due to Weather Conditions
Incident Status: Reminder Notice
WEST LINN - The West Linn Police Department reminds drivers some local roads are closed, these are not conditional closures. If you drive past a closure sign, and become stuck, tow trucks will not be allowed to retrieve your vehicle until the road re-opens.
Drivers are driving past the closures, especially on Pimlico Drive, and getting stuck. These stuck vehicles impair the City's ability to plow or sand the roads to re-open them.
Additionally, a driver may be cited for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device if they go past the road closed sign, a Class B infraction.
"All drivers need to stay off closed roads in order to not put themselves or others in danger," said Police Chief Terry Timeus.
"Responding to drivers who drive into closed roads, and getting stuck unnecessarily, tie up police resources needed elsewhere in the city."
