Each child chooses a book and how much reading and petting to do. Reading to the dogs increases enthusiasm for reading, develops reading skills, teaches children how to interact with pets and promotes confidence. Our dog handlers encourage interaction with their dogs and will offer help if needed. All dogs and handlers are registered therapy teams.
