Pre-application conferences provide Applicants the opportunity to discuss their proposals with staff prior to formally applying. The conference is intended to inform Applicants about submission requirements, approval criteria, and site development considerations. They are not intended as forums for public comments on proposals. The public may ask questions to staff about the application requirements or the Development Code.

Community members are invited to attend a public introduction with Chief Rollins on Wednesday, February 18, at 6:00 PM at the West Linn Public Library Main Reading Room. Chief Rollins will share his background, leadership philosophy, goals for the Department, and plans moving forward, followed by a question-and-answer session. Light refreshments will be provided.

Join us for Junior Jams and explore different musical genres, from Rock to Jazz to TV Themes! Music appreciation starts early, and exposure to variety will support little learners aged 2-5 in understanding and enjoying different styles, all while planting a lifelong connection to music. Come sing, dance, and play with an engaging and friendly teacher from our friends at Youth Music Project.

About the instructor:

David brings 20 years of experience to Youth Music Project as a musician and singer/songwriter, and he has spent 10 years working with kids of all ages! He's created an early childhood curriculum called "Music Exploration," where he explores different types of music genres. He teaches this class all over the Portland area. Originally from New York City, he moved to Portland, OR, in 2017 and now calls it home. Since the Pandemic, Pollack co-founded the nonprofit Curbside Serenade that curates public performances in non-traditional spaces such as parks, pedestrian plazas, and Curbsides. Most well-known for the weekly shows in Laurelhurst Park hosted by Johnny Franco. His Power Pop-inspired band DoublePlay and his solo project perform regularly in the Portland Area.
