Building Division Hours

West Linn Building Division is Paperless!

The West Linn Building Division reviews residential, commercial, and industrial plans, and issues structural, mechanical, plumbing and manufactured dwellings permits.  Inspection requests received through the web portal prior to 7 a.m., will be handled the same day.  Due to the high volume of inspections we can no longer do a.m. or p.m. preferences.  Please put any special requests (i.e., time frames, call with an ETA, etc.) in the comments field when scheduling your inspection and inspectors will do what they can to accommodate.

Counter Hours: (Holidays Excluded)

The City of West Linn Building Department service desk is located on the first floor of City Hall.   

Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.

Closed every Friday    

Permit Intake:  Please provide digital copies of all permit documents

Current Permit Intake and Permit Issuance Hours: (Holidays Excluded)
Contractors: Please go to the Oregon E-Permitting web site and get your permit started there.

Homeowners: Please go to the Documents page and download the appropriate permit application(s). Email the completed application(s) to contactbuilding@westlinnoregon.gov

Current Inspection Hours: (Holidays Excluded)
Monday through Friday* 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

*City Hall is closed every other Friday

Current Allowed Construction Noise:
Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
