City of West Linn Robinwood Neighborhood Association (RNA, RN to be used for Robinwood Neighborhood) Monthly Meeting Minutes Tuesday, 6/13/06 Kevin Bryck called the meeting to order at 7:06 PM. The May minutes were approved (later during the meeting). The persons who attended recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Items Discussed Oregonian Coverage of West Linn Activity Martin Nixon, a journalist contributing to the Oregonian, stated that he is the Oregonian rep covering various topics in West Linn, including RN activity. Proposed Use of Land Across the Street from Burgerville Property owner, David O., discussed his proposal for a 12 residential unit (6, 2-story duplexes) and 8000 sq ft. office building plan. David considered the following to be key points of his plan: 1) Parking spaces will be hidden from the view of the road 2) Sidewalks will be added to 43 and Shady Hollow 3) Shady Hollow will be widened 4) Transportation study not yet done His plan requires zoning changes and revisions to the comprehensive plan. The audience presented the following concerns/ideas: 1) The proposed use is not consistent with the community concept 2) Keep the current zoning (R10) – this would allow for about 7 homes 3) Change the zoning to R5 The attendees voted on a motion to change the design to include only the commercial space on 43 (exclude the use of the remaining space for residential development) - results: For: 10 Against: 14 Abstain: 4 RNA Neighborhood Plan Development Update Streetwalker Kevin Bryck mentioned that a draft of the plan can be obtained from Gordon Howard at City Hall. The plan is to be presented to the WL Planning Commission in August 2006. Police Update Former WL Mayor Dodds commented that the ordinance regarding solicitations in residential areas (discussed at a previous meeting) is ORS 7.000 – 7.080. RN Picnic A unanimous vote occurred to have the picnic on 8/27 at 1:00 PM in Robinwood Park. 20060613 - Meeting Minutes Page 2 of 2 Speed Limit Sign on 43 Resident Mary Grace recommended that a 35 MPH speed limit sign be placed on 43 as 43 enters West Linn from Lake Oswego. Payment to Cedar Oak for Room Rental The audience unanimously voted to pay Cedar Oak School $30 for the next annual rental period for the room within which we have the meetings.
