Bolton Reservoir Replacement
This project consists of the abandonment and removal of the existing 100 year old 2.5 MG Bolton Reservoir and old pump station building, and construction of a new 4.0 MG prestressed concrete reservoir on the same parcel. Designs incorporate reservoir sitework, improvements to the existing Bolton Pump Station, bypass piping and upgrades to the associated water system including approximately 3,100 linear feet of 24-inch diameter offsite water main, and construction of approximately 3,800 linear feet of roadway improvements consisting of roadway widening and grading, curb and sidewalk, drainage improvements, retaining walls, asphalt paving, pavement striping and landscaping.
Status Updates
4/25/2018 - Awaiting final sale of adjacent properties that were purchased for construction staging during the project. Council to review offers on May 7th, 2018.
12/15/2017 - Landscaping is finished. All site restoration complete. Project is substantially complete.
10/17/2017 - Landscaping underway; planting anticipated to be finished by months end. Contractor working on punchlist to wrap up project.
09/20/2017 - Onsite paving complete. Gate entrance installation complete.
08/31/2017 - Permitter fencing installed; onsite paving scheduled for mid-September. Landscaping is scheduled for October with project completion anticipated for November.
08/02/2017 - Water reservoir online and operational. Backfill of reservoir near completion. Final landscaping to take place in the fall.
04/03/2017 - Pre-stressing of the tank underway with continuous wrapping.
12/01/2016 - First half of reservoir roof poured on November 29th. Last wall section is scheduled for December 6th.
07/19/2016 - Excavation completed for the reservoir. Aggregate base installed along the floor drains. First concrete pour for the reservoir scheduled for the end of July.
03/23/2016 - 24" water main installation complete and pending final testing. Reservoir demo to begin after acceptance of waterline.
1/25/2016 - Clearing and cleanup of the reservoir site and Skyline Dr. completed. New 24" mains being installed on Skyline Dr. and at Easy St. and Broadway. Century Link has projected to begin working on utility /relocaions along Skyline near Firwood on Friday, January 22, 2016.
11/30/2015 - Notice to Proceed issued
