City Council and the West Linn Police Oversight and Accountability Task Force held a joint meeting on January 25, 2021 to discuss the status of the Task Force and their recommendations to Council regarding Police oversight structure and policies.
At the meetingTask Force members of this first phase of the process (labeled Tier 1) expressed their desire to continue working as a Tier 2 group to ensure a more complete and thorough final recommendation to Council. Council thanked the Task Force for their continued dedication to this important work and gave direction for the group to continue to meet and refine their recommendations to bring back to Council at a later date.
