Library Strategic Plan

Strategic Plan At A Glance

The West Linn Public Library’s five-year Strategic Plan will guide the library through 2030 and outlines the goals and priorities that will shape library services in the years ahead. The plan is designed to ensure the library continues to meet the evolving needs and interests of our community while providing clear direction for future services, spaces, collections, and programs.

The Strategic Plan was developed through a collaborative planning process that included community and staff feedback, review of library data and trends, and discussions about opportunities for the future. During fall 2025, the library conducted a community survey that received 580 responses from patrons and community members. Survey results helped identify the areas where the library can focus its resources and efforts to make the greatest impact for the community.

The plan centers on five key priorities:

Improve Access

Amplify Awareness

Enrich Collections

Enhance Spaces

Advance Technology & Innovation

Together, these priorities support the library’s mission to provide welcoming spaces, responsive collections, innovative technology, and inclusive programs that foster learning, creativity, and connection for people of all ages.
