Lyndalea Ruffner, certified Yoga Instructor who teaches classes at the West Linn Adult Community Center will be offering a Gentle Yoga class at the library. Lyn’s Gentle Yoga class is a comprehensive and gentle class covering balance, strength and stretching moves while relaxing your body and mind. For those who have never done Yoga this one hour introductory class will include breathing techniques and various Yoga Asanas. Students are encouraged to work within their own range of motion and comfort zone. This class is well suited for anyone interested in exploring Yoga for the first time or folks already engaged in Yoga practice. This is a single introductory class, this is not a recurring class. This class is for adults (18 years and older).

The West Linn Library will be offering a two hour Introduction to Qigong class. The class will introduce students to Qigong (pronounced Chi-Gong), which is an ancient Chinese practice of holistic healing which is gaining wide popularity around the world. The class will include Qigong breathing techniques, self-massage, immune boosting techniques, meditation, and skills to assist you in becoming your own best healer. When Qigong is properly practiced it is extremely beneficial and presents minimal risks to one’s health. The class will be taught by Master Qigong Teacher Lyndalea Ruffner, certified by the Ling Gui International Healing School of Qigong. This is a single introductory class, this is not a recurring class. This class is for adults (18 years and older).

Experience the transformational joy of T'ai Chi/Taiji! If you have ever wondered what Taiji is all about, or always thought you might like to take a class, now is your opportunity. Taiji has been proven to increase strength and flexibility, alleviate anxiety and depression, restore balance and vitality, relieve chronic pain and inflammation, strengthen your immune system, stimulate your brain, and more! This class will introduce you to the Movements of the ancient Chinese Yang-Style Taiji Form. The Movements are performed in a continuous sequence at slow speed—beneficial for any age or physical shape. This is a single introductory class, this is not a recurring class. This class is for adults (18 years and older).

Lib-Con 2025: Cosplay Takeover Night

Our fifth annual Library Comic Con wouldn't be complete without a cosplay takeover of the library. Cosplay Takeover Night welcomes everyone to wear their costume, and enjoy a night of fun Lego star ship races, fan rants, a comic book swap, prizes, and more!
