Work Session
1. Take Care of Oregon 5/15/09: Willamette to be involved in two separate projects; 1. Planter Clean Up; City P&R will oversee project and volunteers 2. Planting on Centennial Path; James Manning will oversee project and volunteers. WNA needs to develop sub committee to purchase plantings for the projects.
2. Nominations for Officers for 2009-10 WNA, organizational overview.
3. Develop plan to implement WNA goals outlined in Vision Statement and Action Plan (how should WNA organize to implement its goals):
Willamette Falls sidewalk completion from 10th Street to Fields Bridge Park.
Strengthen Historic District: National Historic Registry designation, historic advisor in planning department, re-examine historic district building codes.
Develop an indoor community center and pool for West Linn:
Vicki Handy was beginning to organize a committee to address this goal.
Complete the trail from Willamette Park to Willamette Falls: Suggested in March meeting; write a letter to the paper company.
Community Communications: quarterly WNA outreach for upcoming issues and events: Kirsten Wyatt to present City website
Support local businesses; Main Street Program, Farmers Market.
