A quorum of the membership not being present, President Treece declared an informal meeting. Approval of Minutes: Approval of the minutes of the August 26th, 2008 meeting was deferred. GUEST SPEAKERS None present COMMITTEE REPORTS: Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer Jim Koll provided a report showing a current balance of $2142.90 Neighborhood Representative to Land Use Pre-Applications Conference Report Karie Oakes reported there were no new land use applications in the neighborhood. Mrs. Oakes requested a budget for making copies to bring to meetings. It was determined that the board would purchase a pre-paid card for a copy shop such as Kinko’s that Mrs. Oakes could use for this purpose. OLD BUSINESS: No action was taken regarding the old business items on the agenda. NEW BUSINESS: Board Elections in October President Jeff Treece noted that elections for the Board of the Marylhurst Neighborhood association would be held at the October meeting. Nominations will be open until that meeting. Per the Neighborhood Association Bylaws, any resident may nominate any other resident, including himself or herself. Legislative and Land Use Update Karie Oakes provided an update regarding the Water Resource Area permit applied for at 18000 Hillside Ct in the Robinwood Neighborhood. She provided plans of the development and answered questions about the proposal. She noted that the WRA permit would be decided by the Planning Director on Thursday, September 25th, instead of before the Planning Commission at a public hearing due to recent changes in CDC Chapter 99. Mrs. Oakes also provided an update regarding the planned sub-division at 19650 Suncrest Ave. She did not have any news regarding the status of the application, and noted that it was supposed to be submitted sometime in late September or early October. Following the submission of the application, the city Planning Department will have a 30 day period to determine if the application is complete and then begin the review process, which may include hearings before the Planning Commission. President Treece updated the members present on the proposal to implement a Committee for Citizens Involvement. He had attended a city council meeting in early September, and this topic had been tabled. He attributed this to the fact that the issue had attracted much opposition primarily based on a lack of clear communication from the city on the plans to implement such a committee. Neighborhood Announcements Mrs. Cummings stated that the League of West Linn Neighborhoods will be holding candidate forums in October, and is seeking the submission of questions from neighborhood associations. Adjourn President Treece adjourned the meeting at 8:40 pm. The next regular association meeting will be at 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 25th, 2008 at the West Linn Adult Community Center.
