Frequently asked questions for reopening
Is the library open?
Yes! While programs will continue to be offered online and meeting rooms are not yet available, all other services and resources are being offered.
I work during most of the open hours; will these hours be extended?
We've extended hours to a schedule similar to what we offered before our adjustments. If you can't make it to the library during our open hours, you can request that your holds be delivered to our after-hours locker for pickup 24-7.
What if I don’t feel comfortable entering the library to pick up my holds?
We understand that patrons may not be able to enter the building in some situations. We can bring holds out to you in our main parking lot when we are open. To arrange a pickup, please call 503-742-6162 when you arrive. Alternately, you can request that your holds be delivered to our after-hours locker for pickup 24-7.
Can I return my materials?
The book drop at the library exterior is open, as well as the four community book drops. These remote book drops are not emptied every day, but items are backdated when being checked-in.
Can I renew my materials?
Items can be renewed as long as others don't have holds on the materials. Items can be renewed a maximum of five times before they need to be returned.
Can I pay my fines?
You can pay fines in-person at the library starting July 1. If you have any questions please contact us.
How do I get a library card?
Clackamas County residents can get a card online. This eCard will allow new patrons to place up to three holds. When you come in to check out your holds, we will verify your identity and upgrade your card to an account with full privileges.
When will the library offer programs and events again?
We will not be offering in-person programs quite yet, but we are offering virtual programs through Facebook Live and YouTube. You can see our full program schedule here.
Is the library offering the Summer Reading Program this year?
Yes! Patrons of all ages can sign up to participate in our online Summer Reading Program.
Are computers available?
Yes, computers are available. You can also use our wireless printing service from your home computer or mobile device.
I have books to donate. Can I drop those off?
Yes, the Book Nook is open and they are accepting donations. Remember, there is a limit of one bag or small box per day. Please do not place donated materials in our book drop. See this page for more details.
I have a different question. How do I talk to a staff member?
You can send us an email at wlref@lincc.org or call us at 503-656-7853, x5.
