2024 City Council Race
ELECTION DATE: Tuesday, MAY 21, 2024
Due to Councilor Erwin's resignation, an election to fill the vacant Council seat will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. City Council Candidate Filings will be open through Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 5 pm. The new term will begin in June 2024 and run through December 31, 2026.
To run for office in West Linn, candidates must be a qualified elector (registered voter) under the State Constitution (Oregon Constitution, Article II, Section 2) and have resided in the City during the twelve months immediately prior to the election. Elected Officials must continue to be residents of the City during their entire term of office.
To apply to run in the Council election please fill out the application form SEL 101 (Candidate Filing – Major Political Party or Nonpartisan) and drop off at West Linn City Hall, 2nd Floor. This form is available on the Oregon Secretary of State's Voting & Elections page by selecting the Manuals, Forms, Tutorials, and Election Laws.
