Incident Updates
Date Time Description
8/10/26 10:53am Wildfires continue throughout the region, including some that developed this past weekend. Air quality is not currently impacted, nor is there a heat advisory. Stay tuned.
8/5/26 3:33pm

The National Weather Service has issued a Moderate to Major Heat Risk for our area from Aug 5 to 7th. It is expected to remain in effect until 11PM Thursday night. All are advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

The West Linn Public Library Community Room is available as a cooling space during the library's regular hours of operation. To help provide a more comfortable indoor environment during periods of poor air quality, the room is equipped for this type of heat and air events with a portable high-capacity air filtration unit that runs continuously. ( As a warning this system is loud, but it really does help with the air quality)

While some outdoor air enters the building as people come and go throughout the day, the Community Room provides an improved indoor environment for anyone looking to escape the heat or smoky conditions.

If you need a place to cool off, read, work, or simply spend some time in filtered air, you're welcome to stop by during regular Library hours.

Library Hours

  • Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
