Vegetable Gardening for Beginners

On Thursday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Robinwood Station (3796 Cedaroak Drive in West Linn) the city's Sustainability Advisory Board and the West Linn Garden Club will present a free hour-long class entitled Vegetable Gardening for Beginners.  We invite members of the community interested in getting their hands dirty and eating food they've grown themselves to join us.  We'll address some of the basic issues needed to become successful gardeners like finding sites with available sunlight and water, ways to create and sustain healthy and productive soils, choosing what to grow, dealing with pests, and tips for food harvesting and preservation. No registration needed, just show up!
