The BHT Neighborhood Association is hosting its fourth annual FireWise Day in Barrington Heights on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
This Neighborhood Association Event will be held in the Cul-de-sac of Beacon Hill and Imperial Drive from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Throughout the day residents will be trimming their overgrown trees and bushes to reduce fire fuels.
This is the NA's premier event of the year., as their continuing primary drive is to make the community more fire safe. The NA was recently awarded a grant from the US Department of Forestry and State Farm Insurance to support their efforts to keep West Linn safe. Those funds will be used later in the season (when the ground is dryer) to clear additional sections of the ODOT land behind homes, creating a more efficient fire break.
