About Katherine:
Hi, I’m Katherine Ferruzzi
Did you know everything in this world has something to do with chemistry? Think about it.
My chemistry degree has taken me in many directions, but my favorite so far is nutrition. It covers my two favorite subjects, food and health. In addition, I’ve had the pleasure of learning about raw vegan culinary arts, French pastry arts, gardening, and food preservation.
You’re never too old to learn.
I’ve always been fascinated by food and its powerful effect on the human body. For years, I immersed myself in books and journals on nutrition, but I wanted a deeper understanding of how food impacts disease. At 55, I went back to school and earned my master’s degree in nutrition.
Now, I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned—helping others lower their cholesterol, protect their hearts, and live healthier lives.
I’m grateful to the West Linn Library for allowing me to lead nutrition and cooking workshops for the benefit of our community. I also teach classes at Portland Community College and at the West Linn Adult Community Center.
Join me—and take your next step toward better health!
