E-Book Availability
-
Looking for a popular book in Library2Go and can't find it? It might be published by Hachette, Macmillan, Penguin, or Simon & Schuster. These publishers and their imprints will not license or sell e-books to libraries. In addition, Random House has tripled the prices of library e-books and HarperCollins has adopted a pricing model that most libraries find prohibitively expensive.
-
Just like physical library books, each e-book only has a certain number of copies available. If all available copies are checked out, you can place a hold on the book and you'll be notified when it's available for checkout.
-
Although Library2Go has thousands of e-books to choose from, not every physical book in the library has an e-book equivalent in Library2Go.
-
Extra copies of popular e-books are now available exclusively to West Linn patrons. Click here to see a list of these books and to get more information.
Compatible Devices
-
The Nook, Sony Reader, iPad, and Kindle are compatible with Library2Go. To see a complete list of compatible e-readers, click here.
-
Unless you have an iPad or Kindle you will need to download Adobe Digital Editions to your computer before you can download e-books from Library2Go.
-
E-books published by Penguin cannot be transferred to Kindles via wi-fi, only via USB. Instructions for doing so are here.
