Art Exhibit: Historic West Linn Photos

The West Linn Public Library will host an exhibit of historic photos from John Klatt called "West Bank Images, Views of Early West Linn," part of the year-long celebration of West Linn's centennial in 2013. The exhibit will run February 2–27 in the library's Community Room which is open to the public when not in use, and always open on Sundays, noon – 5:00 p.m.

John Klatt collects and reproduces historic Oregon photographs for his business Old Oregon Photos. He works with private collectors and institutions to reproduce classic views that combine historic interest and artistic merit. Each photo has been carefully restored to convey the intention of the original photographer.

An avid history buff, he describes his photo reproductions as the result of a love affair between himself and the people of Oregon's past. He has also written articles for the Oregonian and conducted research on local history topics for most of the twenty years he has lived in West Linn.
