Your West Linn Parks & Recreation Department is planning a busy summer of parks construction projects designed to make West Linn parks even more enjoyable. You will see City Parks employees and local contractors working on these projects during the summer months:

Marylhurst Park
Work will begin on this new West Linn park in August, including site grading, parking, pathways, and utilities. The City will also build a natural wetland at Marylhurst Park. Work will continue at this site until the park is completed, likely in 2011. Park plans include a playground, splash pool, basketball court, trails and open space access.

Douglas Park
This new neighborhood park will be completed in Summer 2010. Park features will include a play structure, basketball, and open turf.

Robinwood Park Restroom & Splash Pool
Restroom facilities and a new splash pool will be installed at Robinwood Park this summer. The sustainable splash pool design will resemble a beaver dam. Robinwood Park is home to two real beaver dams.

Fields Bridge Park, Midhill Park Restrooms
In conjunction with the restroom construction at Robinwood Park, restroom facilities will also be constructed at Midhill Park and Fields Bridge Park this summer.

Bank Angling Access – Mill Catwalk Replacement
The City of West Linn is partnering with the Oregon Fish & Wildlife Department, the Oregon Wildlife Heritage Foundation and the West Linn Paper Company for this project to replace the old mill catwalk to provide for greater access to the Willamette River.
