Utility Worker I/II - Streets

Employment Opportunity Utility Worker I/II - Streets $17.09 - $27.10/hour DOQ, Full-time (40 hrs/wk), represented with benefits Under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, this position supports the City’s Street Division.  A Utility workers job requirements include, but are not limited to: performing a variety of manual, semi-skilled/skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, operation of city facilities including the ability to operate heavy equipment on occasion.      Requires High School diploma or GED certificate, plus one (1) year experience in Public Works or two (2) years of related work experience that includes the safe use of motorized equipment. Must have a valid commercial driver’s license Class B within six (6) months of appointment. (See job descriptions for specific duties and responsibilities.) Successful candidate must pass pre-employment background, drug screening and reference check. Depending on qualifications, you may be selected as a Utility Worker I or Utility Worker II.
