Neighborhood Meetings

City of West Linn Oregon Official Website

Over the summer, to assist in the development of the conceptual vision for the Community Workshop, Planning staff met with the Neighborhood Associations in the corridor. At the NA meetings, staff sought input from residents through a mapping exercise and a flip chart exercise. Over 40 attendees completed these exercises.

Mapping Exercise
Residents placed colored and numbered dots on a map identifying places in the community that they wanted to preserve (red), enhance (blue), or change (green). Each resident had three of each colored dot and explained the rationale behind their choices on a comment card. These were later typed and assembled into the Public Input map.

Flip Chart Exercise
Residents identified current problems in the corridor and desired long term changes, then prioritized which were the most important to them.
