2014 West Linn Old Time Fair Court Princesses
West Linn- Thursday, February 20th, the historic McLean House buzzed with the excitement of the fourteen candidates and their parents while they waited the two hours for the names of the 2014 Old Time Fair Court to be announced. It was the result of individual interviews before a panel of active community volunteers that would determine the final four. Finally, with joined hands they listened as the names were announced by 2013 Old Time Fair Queen, Celia Lawrence. In the end it would be three 8th grade girls from Rosemont Ridge Middle School, Amber Wood, Katie Williams, McKenna Wright, and one student from Athey Creek Middle School, Megan Talbert, that would comprise the court for the 58th annual Old Time Fair. Each year the court represents the community of West Linn and the long-time tradition of the Old Time Fair in the Oregon City Pioneer Festival Teddy Bear Parade, the Portland Rose Festival Starlight Parade and numerous local events. Because of the outstanding quality of all of the candidates and their sincere commitment to serving the community a new Fair Ambassador program has been developed by the Old Time Fair Planning Committee. The Ambassadors will participate in parades, community service projects and provide other assistance at the Old Time Fair. The new Queen will be announced at the coronation during the opening ceremonies of the Old Time Fair, Friday July 18, 2014.
