Policy Questions for Council Consideration:
Does the Council agree with the additional regulations as recommended by the Planning Commission?
This project was remanded by the City Council to the Planning Commission to consider changes recommended by residents of the Willamette Falls National Historic District. The focus of the amendments continues to be as follows:
New homes will be required to have lower height than currently allowed and be oriented to compliment adjacent historic homes.
New accessory dwelling units will be subject to reduced height limits and greater setbacks in deference to the privacy of neighbors.
Setbacks requirements will be simplified. Additional minor changes are proposed.
At their February 3, 2010 hearing, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the amendments found in Exhibit A.
