Transit Shelters Installed Along Highway 43

WEST LINN - On Thursday, the City of West Linn installed a new City-owned transit shelter on Highway 43 in front of the Central Village shopping center. This transit shelter is the first of three planned transit shelter installations along the highway; two more are planned for the following locations:

* Highway 43 and Elliot Street – Expected to be installed next week
* Highway 43 and Cedar Oak Drive – Staff is completing the necessary permitting issues and the transit shelter is expected to be up by Spring 2010.

The new trash receptacles at each transit shelter location include a separate recyclable container and the City of West Linn logo.

Installation of transit shelters was a City Council goal for 2009-2010.
