The City Council passed Resolution 06-33 in July 2006 establishing an Audit Committee to ensure that audits are completed annually in accordance with Oregon state law, provide oversight of the auditors, assist in the review and selection of audit firms, and ensure transparent communication back to the Council and citizens of West Linn.
In June 2009, Resolution 09-11 was passed adding one citizen member for a four-year term with an interest and experience in City government financial operations, preferably a Certified Public Accountant residing within City limits.
