The Council has been asked to consider endorsement of these by laws by the Clackamas County Wastewater Capacity Provisional Partnership Committee that was formed in July 2008. That Committee is recommending to the Board of County Commissioners that a permanent advisory committee be formed with a representative from each of the city’s belonging to both Clackamas Services District No. 1 and Tri City Service District. (West Linn is a member of the Tri City Service District, along with Oregon City and Gladstone.) Prior to the Board of County Commissioners approving the Advisory Committee by laws, the provisional partnership committee requested that each city endorse the by laws and appoint a member to the Advisory Committee.
On September 28, the City Council voted 3-1 against approval of this resolution. On October 5, the Council voted 3-2 to reconsider its original vote and placed this resolution on the agenda for October 26 for a new vote.
Below are several documents regarding the formation of the advisory committee. For additional information or to provide input on this subject, please e-mail the City of West Linn at webmaster@westlinnoregon.gov.
