On June 22, 2009, the City Council unanimously adopted the 2010-2011 budget as approved by the Citizens' Budget Committee. The Citizens' Budget Committee held three meetings and unanimously approved the budget as proposed on Thursday, May 7, 2009.
This biennial budget was prepared in accordance with Oregon budget law and the Distinquished Budget Presentation Award was subsequently awarded to the City by the Governmental Financial Officers Association (GFOA).
The GFOA national award program recognizes outstanding budget documents that meet program criteria as a policy document, as an operations guide, as a financial plan, and as a communictions device.
