Driver Crashes Through Hedge Into Yard, Narrowly Missing a Residence, Then Flees on Foot

On Monday, February 2, 2009 at 11:15 a.m. a resident in the 2000 block of 19th Street, West Linn, OR reported a car had just crashed through the hedges and gotten stuck in the yard. The driver, a white male adult who appeared to be 18 to 20 years old, was trying to leave in the car. The driver did not speak to anyone at the scene and tried to put items under the tires in an attempt to gain traction.

As West Linn Officers began to arrive in the area, the suspect fled on foot. Attempts to locate the suspect, met with negative results even though a K-9 Unit from the Portland Police Bureau was utilized.

The driver is described as a male, white, adult 18-20 years of age, about 5'8" tall, and about 140 pounds. He has short, blonde curly hair, is clean shaven, and wearing a gray collared sweatshirt, black sweat pants and tennis shoes. He was last seen heading towards I-205 from Nolan Lane.

Nobody was injured during this crash.
